Iman Stratenus was born in 1970 in Deventer, the Netherlands. He studied law in the Netherlands (University of Utrecht) and in the USA (University of Pennsylvania). After working as a corporate lawyer with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek, he joined the consulting firm McKinsey & Company, in the Amsterdam office. In 2003 he joined TNT, where he initially worked as a strategy and M&A advisor to the Board of Management. Iman became the Country General Manager for TNT Vietnam in 2005. He moved to China in 2007, initially as Marketing & Sales Director and, as of 2008, as Managing Director (Greater) China. In 2011, Iman left TNT. After a year as General Manager of International SOS in Beijing, Iman decided to devote his professional life to making the world a better place. He joined the World Business Council for Sustainable Development. Iman lives in Lausanne, Switzerland, with his wife, Quirine, and their four children, Julie, Coco, Benine, and Hugo.
